James R. Hill, Inc. takes tremendous pride in being a steward to both the environment and the greater community. Throughout our 38 years in business, we have always welcomed the opportunity to work on projects that benefit the greater community in which we all live.
An example of our Community Design work includes the recently completed Goodwill Store in Rochester, MN. This facility provides both a collection point for donated clothes, vehicles, and household items, but also a 12,000SF retail store to serve the public.
To offset some development costs, James R. Hill, Inc. worked with the City of Rochester to creatively incorporate this building onto an existing property and treat all storm water run-off on-site eliminating the need for expensive utility work.
Another segment of design James R. Hill, Inc has worked with extensively is in the field of religious institutions. Long-range master plans, phased construction, and concept plans are all common aspects of community-based design work. We understand the challenges surrounding construction of religious facilities and work to find creative ways to solve problems and save budget dollars. Some recent projects include:
- Heritage Lutheran Church Apple Valley, MN
- South Suburban Evangelical Church Apple Valley, MN
- Friendship Church Shakopee, MN
- Prince of Peace Lutheran Church Burnsville, MN
- Crossroads Lutheran Church Lakeville, MN
